Do you want a fully remote DevOps role?
Do you want to work on interesting projects such as delivering a large scale greenfield migration to Kubernetes?
Then look no further.
This is a rare fully remote opportunity with a tech company that harnesses NLP and AI tech to build chatbots for some of the world’s biggest brands (Boots and Vodafone, for example) to help them operate more efficiently and engage better with their customer bases.
It’s a particularly exciting time to join as they are investing heavily back into the business, launching new products and scaling up significantly. They are forward thinking as far as tech is concerned and adopting the best tools for the job. They are currently working hard to modernise and future proof their stack.
Tech snapshot: AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab
They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to build, optimise, scale, aggressively automate and support the open source and Kubernetes/AWS based infrastructure that underpin their software product. As this is a fully remote role, the expectation is the candidate will be able to work autonomously and be self-sufficient.
In this role you will be joining a team of engineers to help build and optimise the infrastructure underpinning their platform, ensuring it is highly available and stable. You will also work closely with developers and help them deliver their software as efficiently as possible. You will write and deliver infrastructure code and tools, help promote a DevOps culture and solve problems relating to mission critical services. You will be someone who loathes repetition and loves self-healing infrastructure.
You will be excited by automation, micro services, domain driven design, infrastructure as code and continuous delivery, be a problem solver and be very intellectually curious – constantly questioning, testing the boundaries and trying to explore how to improve things. Are the tools fit for purpose? Are they being used in the most optimal way? Is there a better way of doing things?
- Commercial experience as a Linux Sysadmin or DevOps Engineer building and supporting AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
If this looks potentially of interest I would be delighted to have a chat with you and explore matters further. Look forward to hearing from you!
