DevOps Engineer – Tech for Good – Save Lives

How would you like to work for a tech for good company who are leveraging blockchain and other modern technologies to improve healthcare provision in the developing world. They are helping healthcare professionals and NGOs in the Third World tackle some really complex challenges and are literally saving lives.

In this role you will be joining a team of DevOps Engineers to help build and optimise the infrastructure underpinning their tech for good platform, ensuring it is highly available and stable. You will also work closely with developers and help them deliver their software as efficiently as possible. You will write and deliver infrastructure code and tools, help promote a DevOps culture and solve problems relating to mission critical services. You will be someone who loathes repetition and loves self-healing infrastructure.

You will be excited by automation, micro services, domain driven design, infrastructure as code and continuous delivery, be a problem solver and be very intellectually curious – constantly questioning, testing the boundaries and trying to explore how to improve things. Are the tools fit for purpose? Are they being used in the most optimal way? Is there a better way of doing things?

They are very forward thinking as far as the tech is concerned – to give you a snapshot: Ansible, Puppet, Python, NodeJS, Jenkins, Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.

  • Opportunity to work with an extremely talented group of people, work with modern technology, adhere to best practices, deliver interesting projects that will not only add a significant premium to your market value but also help a tech for good company in its mission to make the world a slightly better place.
