Front-end Developer – Bristol – £30,000 – £35,000
I speak to developers every day and I am always keen to hear what they want to see from companies. The general consensus is a flexible working environment and somewhere that encourages you to think for yourself and get on with the work. No micromanaging from somebody who has been hands off for years.
This start-up encourages you to make the role your own, they understand things may not always be perfect from a tech perspective. However, they trust you to build the platform how you see correct.
They are a start-up heading towards series A with a unique product helping tens of thousands of people to live and work freely. As far as culture goes they are a relaxed small team working hard to spread the word and ship as many features as they can to keep their users happy. You would work closely with the CEO, design and marketing teams to ensure everybody is on the same page when it comes to company vision.
You would be responsible for the front-end of their hybrid app currently used by tens of thousands in the UK with a desire to spread into Europe shortly. They are currently using AngularJS as a framework but are looking to migrate to React so experience in either will be considered. For the mobile side of things they use Cordova and Ionic so experience here will set you apart. The main thing is you need to be adaptable and love picking up new tech. It’s a start-up things do change from time to time.
In return for your hard work
They like all being in the office together since they are a small team, that doesn’t mean no remote working they just prefer to be together. You will get to stroke the office dog as much as you like. You get equity from that start and can sacrifice some salary for more if you like. They encourage people to be creative, side hustle, ideas for work, fire away and ask the question.
