I have a new role QA Engineer/ Test Engineer to join my client. They are a pretty exciting bunch as despite being a start-up they have recently been acquired and therefore have the funding of a hugely successful business that is in a strong position financially. They have recently created a brand new team to work on their product and have ambitious plans to scale the team.
Despite being based in Bristol they are happy to have someone work permanently fully remotely in this position as long as they are happy to pop into the Bristol office one day a month for team meetings (their new office will be Central). However, if you are someone who prefers being in the office you are welcome to be fully or partially office-based when things go back to normal depending on what you want to do.
Their product is a web-based SaaS application and they recently took on their very first test team of 2 to start setting up the testing and getting processes in place. They now are looking to bring on a third tester to support them. Their QA Lead has been laying the groundwork around automation with .Net with BDD in Specflow and this role will be to support them in manual and automation (with a focus more on the automation side).
The ideal person will have experience of automation but you don’t necessarily need to be able to build frameworks from the ground up as their Senior Tester will be there to provide guidance and mentoring. Experience with automation using .Net technologies would be ideal but they will look at people with experience in other languages as well.
As an early stage start-up attitude is super important to them. They love people who are driven, excited about what they are trying to achieve and who understand the pace of startup life with the ability to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
Salary is anywhere up to £42,000 depending on experience.
