Junior DevOps Engineer – Gaming

Do you enjoy gaming? Well how would you like to work for one of the fastest growing gaming companies in London who have over 20 million players enjoying their 250+ games every month and pride themselves on being ahead of the curve (they’ve won awards for innovation for their games and have delivered talks at Google I/O!)

In this role you will be joining a team of DevOps Engineers working towards the goal of releasing quality software as fast as they possibly can – they recently achieved a record of 150+ releases in a single week and want to go even faster! This is hopefully where you will come in. You will be part of the effort to streamline processes around release, optimising existing tools and creating new ones to improve quality and efficiency, minimise bottlenecks and live the continuous delivery dream.

You will be excited by automation, chaos engineering, infrastructure as code and continuous delivery, be a problem solver and be very intellectually curious – constantly questioning, testing the boundaries and trying to explore how to improve things. Are the tools fit for purpose? Are they being used in the most optimal way? Is there a better way of doing things?
They are very forward thinking as far as the tech is concerned – to give you a snapshot: Ansible, Puppet, Python, NodeJS, Jenkins, Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker

The role is based in central London near Covent Garden – exceptional transport links and a stone’s throw from a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, galleries, cinemas.

  • Lucrative bonus
  • Competitive pension
  • Season ticket loan
  • Private medical
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Life assurance
  • Awesome social scene – have a dedicated social space in the office fitted out with table tennis, Xbox, pool tables and go for drinks every Friday. They have a variety of social clubs catering to a range of different interests, sports teams and regular team building events. The annual summer and Christmas parties are also not to be missed!
  • Lots of investment in training & development – continuous learning is part of the company’s DNA. The company encourages employees to go on conferences and training courses, provide an array of learning resources, host Brown bag sessions and are very active in the local tech meetup scene.
  • Opportunity to work with an extremely talented group of people, work with modern technology, adhere to best practices, deliver interesting projects that will add a significant premium to your market value and learn a lot!

If this looks potentially of interest I’d be delighted to have a chat with you about this opportunity and your career aspirations going forward, in complete confidence. We are keen to see applications from both junior and more experienced candidates
