How would you like to work for a company that has been something of a success story in the Bristol tech space since exploding onto the scene a few years ago? The company builds a world class, award winning, cloud-based data analytics platform that manipulates data in near real-time and continues to go from strength to strength and are expanding into new sectors and securing big client wins.
In order to cope with this increasing demand (and scale up the infrastructure) they now need a Linux Sysadmin/DevOps professional like yourself to join a new dedicated DevOps team that they are creating. We need you to build, optimise and automate AWS infrastructure that power a cloud based software as a service platform that has to handle millions of requests every day. You will also provide tools to help developers work more efficiently. High profile Finance Services and Automotive companies (as well as a large & varied SME client base) rely on what this company do and it is imperative that the infrastructure is highly available at all times.
There is a veritable smorgasbord of exciting infrastructure build & transformation projects to get your teeth into. This is a great opportunity to get involved in projects to migrate from on-premise to public cloud (AWS) and do funky things with Kubernetes in a commercial, production, environment.
You will be joining a world class team that has individuals who have built some amazing tech companies and hold some stellar educational credentials. They are active & well respected in the open source community, contributing to projects and getting involved in meetups and hackathons. They value technology for its own sake. You’ll no longer be the cleverest person in the room ;- )

At least one year’s commercial experience as a Linux Sysadmin and/or DevOps Engineer however would also be keen to see applications from aspirational juniors too!
If this looks potentially of interest I would be delighted to have a conversation with you, in confidence, about this opportunity and your career aspirations going forward.
