Lead UI Developer – Global Media – London

This is a Lead UI Developer role, and this will be working on their digital publishing platform, serving over 60 million users per month, so it’s a big job. Their frontend stack comprises of React, Next.js and Storybook; using data from API services and a WordPress CMS.
As this is a lead role, you will be playing a big part in supporting the wider development team, making sure they are writing reusable code, supporting and mentoring them, and playing a real part in the their development. But there are still going to be hands-on parts to this role, you’ll be immersing yourself in the technical eco-system, and optimising pages, writing technical documentation, and lots more.
- HTML and CSS/SASS
- Understanding of web standards, accessibility and performance
- Unit testing
- Git and NPM/Yarn to manage your work and dependencies
- A natural leader and approachable person
The role is fully remote for the time being, but they are based in London, so ideally you will be happy commuting there when the ‘new normal’ kicks in.
