I have a great position for a Project Manager to join my client in Herefordshire based a short walk from Leominster train station. You’ll have the opportunity to do a mix of office and home working with the option to work 2 days a week from home, possibly more on occasion. They are a very secure business who have been doing incredibly well with their tech team nearly doubling over the past year and a half and they are continuing to expand at rapid rates.
In an ideal world they would love someone who is already a Techie Project Manager working within a Agile environment , but they are also open to people from other areas of IT who may have managed/overseen Agile projects as part of their position who are looking to move into a more Project Manager focussed position.
The position will be joining their Technical department of approximately 80 people including Developers, Support Analyst, BA’s, Testers and other Project Managers, and have the opportunity to manage internal IT based projects ranging from cloud based web projects to the overhaul of existing systems within a Agile/ SCRUM environment. They have a range of projects on the go with lots more planned so you’ll certainly never be bored! You may be working on one major project or several smaller ones and will liaise across different areas of the business from internal stakeholders to tech teams.
As part of your role you will ensure that projects are appropriately planned, organised, led and reported; adhering to PMO standardised procedures, whilst ensuring projects finish on time and to budget.
You’ll lead, motivate and support the day to day running of the Scrum teams assigned to your projects empowering the teams to feel fully engaged and making sure they understand the business activities and goals.
The ideal person will have solid experience working within a Agile environment and either be a experienced Project Manager or be someone from a other sector of tech with the suitable skills and attributes to be able to move into a Project Manager role.
Salary is anywhere up to £50,000 plus good benefits including bonus, 25 days holiday, death in service, healthcare cash plan, contributory pension and enhanced maternity/paternity and sick pay.
