I have an exciting position for a QA Test Manager/Lead to join my client based in beautiful offices in the centre of Bristol and a short walk from Temple Meads station.
The company is a great success story and you will be joining them during a sustained period of growth. We have helped them to build a team of 10 to 30 in the past year and they have ambitious plans for the coming year.
As they move onto the next phase of their growth they are looking for a QA Manager/Lead to join their team. Currently all of their testing is automated and carried out by their engineers on products built around an API. For the time being they are planning to carry on with this model but what they are now looking for is for someone to come on board and take responsibility for all things test. You’ll be defining and advising on their test strategy and help provide their engineers with direction, improving existing test methods and strategies and advising on best practice. You’ll evaluate what they have been doing taking a holistic approach, looking at what they have been doing and then help them improve and make it the best it can be.
They are looking for someone who will be quick to prevent quality problems before they manifest and who can seek new ways to cover gaps and still maintain the quality of the products. They need someone who can be confident with defining processes around automation and keeping stability of the tests and code. You’ll share your findings and knowledge with the teams and educate them on what they need to be doing.
They are looking for someone with proven experience of taking ownership of the test strategy for a organisation who has the technical know how to dig into their automation and be able to make recommendations as a result (you don’t need to actually do the automation for them). Any experience with or knowledge around Python would be a bonus but they are open to people from all sorts of technical backgrounds. You’ll need to have great people skills and be able to educate others on what good quality looks like. They want someone with a hunger to learn who likes to keep up to date on new tech and maybe likes to attend courses and conferences.
On offer is a salary of up to £60,000 for the right person as well as the option to do at least 2 days a week remote, maybe more and flexible hours.
