Scientific Software Engineer
Bristol base (Hybrid working)
Small software company with external & internal projects
Salary range £30-40k
Are you a graduate or junior software developer with a passion and interest for science?
I have a brand-new opportunity with a client in Bristol, they’re a software company, who work on a variety of projects ranging from Cyber Security to Data Analytics for clients within the public sector. Over the past couple of years, they have also been working on some newer internal projects such as a ‘disease tracking app’ and have been coming up with new innovative ways to provide excellent products throughout the pandemic and have certainly stayed very busy.
For example… you could be working on large applications for scientists at the MoD or working on an urban gas-desperation modelling project.
You’ll be co-operating with other team members in a friendly and relaxed working environment. The business has some of the longest standing employees I have seen within any tech companies in Bristol, and if you know the market well, you’ll know it’s a rare thing to see.
If that sounds like the sort of thing you would be interested in, I’m looking for someone with the following experience:
- You enjoy getting stuck into & solving some challenging problems
- Ideally 1-2 years experience but will also consider STEM graduates
- Awareness & understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of system modelling techniques
- Someone who is able to collaborate and work as a team!
Due to the nature of the projects they work on you must be eligible for SC clearance (British Citizen & lived in UK for past 5 years)
Please apply and I will be in touch with you!
